Call to Artists (and robot artists),

East Bay Giclée is hosting its inaugural Halloween Art Contest this year!! Due to the recent advent of certain Artificial Intelligence programming, it is now possible to create “artistic” images using only typed commands! This technology has only just begun, and it is already winning awards in digital art competitions. Can the robots really make art!? And is it really art? That’s a debate for another day. But for now let us embrace the new medium of creation by giving it a good ol’ “Howdy, nice to meet you”. And let’s see what this hype is all about!

Contest Rules:
- Anyone can compete
- Each contender can submit up to (3) images
- This is an AI art contest. All images must be made using an AI art generator.
- Each image should include the following criteria:

• Subject should be based on a public figure dressed up as a classic Halloween character of your choice (think vampires, witches, princesses, Spiderman, etc.). Open to interpretation.

- Deadline is October 30th
- On Halloween (Oct 31st) at 6:00pm we will host a live stream judging among a panel of three artist judges. We will be judging based on:

• Creativity in the body of work (up to 3 images)

• Cohesiveness in the body of work

• Successful execution of criteria in the body of work

• Best single image

A few tips:

• Render your artwork at the largest size allowed, but the file you send us should be maximum 2500px on the long side.

• Try out some different art/artist styles for some interesting results (ex. Pixar style, 1920’s photo, Frank Frazetta style, etc.)
